Sugar and spice
and everything nice
that’s what little girls are made of

Sunshine and rainbows
and ribbons for hair bows
that’s what little girls are made of

Tea parties, laces
and baby doll faces
that’s what little girls are made of

I think little girls everywhere forgo the pony and settle for pretty, sparkly, shiny things. And I think big girls everywhere would forgo almost anything for the chance to design these beautiful little things for Chanel. It’s what Laetitia Crahay does and I’ll admit it, I’m jealous. (That’s an understatement.)

She got her start helping classmate, Olivier Theyskens, start his uber popular brand. She studied architecture but is now an accessories guru at Chanel and the artistic director at Maison Michel, a tiny millinery shop. She could probably make a newsboy cap look chic – I’m sure you’ve seen the lacy mouse ears in mag and on celeb.

She even commissioned artist Cedric Rivrain to illustrate the head toppers and choice faces like Kate Moss, Lou Doillon, Lara Stone, Sasha Pivovarova and Milla Jovovich. Oh, and all the pretty faces are her friends, who did it as a favor, since no realistic budget for the brand’s campaign could have bagged them all.

I’m in love with her golden wheat accessories. Much more exciting than the new golden wheat beer, sorry Bud.
